ABOUT US
John Ireland assumed ownership of Lexington Gymnastics and Cheerleading in October 2001. Over the last several years, John has directed colorful, kid-friendly renovations to the facility. In addition, he has started several new programs, such as Friday and Saturday evening Parent's Night Out, and Open Gym Drop Off to help parents during the holiday/school breaks and school Snow Days.
John's experience comes from having done gymnastics since the age of three, and managing/teaching in gymnastics and cheerleading centers between Los Angeles and Delaware for over 15 years. John has an extensive background in working with all ages and has degrees in psychology, as well as having worked for years with CARD (Center for Autism and Related Disorders.) He works with both typical and special needs children, and feels comfortable in both large and small groups of students ages 2 years and up. John was a respected member of the National Champion University of Kentucky Cheerleading Squad. LGC staff comes from a varied background of competitive cheerleaders, and competitive gymnasts, all with multiple levels of certification and training. Our instructors are all well respected, established, and have competed at all levels of Nationally recognized Competitions and Championships.
